Stephen Jay Gould

(September 10, 1941 – May 20, 2002) Stephen was a evolutionary biologist, paleontologist and science historian who has attended a geography degree. He was a world renowned scientist of popular science and acquired the unofficial nickname of "America's unofficial evolutionist laureate." He proposed the theory of punctuated equilibrium with Niles Eldredge. |
