Gottfried Reinhold Treviranus

(February 4, 1776 - February 16, 1837) Gottfried was a naturalist and a professor of mathematics and medicine who had attended his doctorate in medicine. Gottfried helped proposal the theory of transmutation of species. His work was published in his book Biologie; oder die Philosophie der lebenden Natur. Gottfried and Lamarck had similar ideas which they both published in the same year. Lamarck attained the credit for proposing the theory of transmutation of species. |
